Renaming files is a simple process. But, the task can become arduous if you have numerous files to rename. Using the DOS “REN” statement, the process may be simplified by renaming all of the files in a directory. However, if you need to rename files in all sub-directories, you must repeat the “REN” statement in each folder. FileRename provides the ability to recursively rename files in all sub-folders.
