Hi All,

I am curious as to what people might think on this issue.

I have always run Castrol 20W50 in my bikes and have nothing to complain
about. But recently I started thinking about the type of oil that is going
into the ol'birds and was wondering why such a heavy oil was used.

I am currently looking at buying a new car and as I was browsing the
owner's
manual and it said recommended oil was 5W30. Now I can understand that for
a
2001 4 banger but that same grade is recommended in my 70 Pontiac with a 8
cylinder 350 engine.

Would it not be better to run the 5W30 in the bike too?

Just curious and thanks for the time to input your thoughts.

Regards....Ian

p.s. just to remind you all....the Western NY Rally is only a little over
two weeks away!
