Seems I remember a few weeks ago Vince posted a message about having pinging problems, this may be why. Anyone ever tried the "steam cleaning" trick to remove carbon? Water vapor is introduced through the carb. or other inlet opening while the engine is running. The idea is, I guess, that the water vapor turns to steam in the combustion chamber and removes the carbon. Never done it myself, but an old-time shade-tree mechanic friend of my late Dad swore it worked. Cheers, Charlie EldoMike <msse-@classicguzzi.com> wrote:
