FWIW - mine does not have the crossover, no locking nut, has clamps and MAC
fishtail exhaust.

no problems so far.

but one of the macs did not quite fit on one of the headers and would move a
bit. that would move the header beyond the clamp. I shimed and sealed the
poor fit and the exhaust sits firm. I would suggest you ensure that as well.

NOT the nut coming loose (it's the locknut type), it just eats the

I was having a similar problem. A friend asked what direction I had
faced
the seam on the gasket, towards the motor or away. I had never paid
attention
to this & did not believe it would make a difference, but I was about
ready
to pull my hair out so I tried it. I had to look very close but there is
a
seam where the copper is rolled around, I put the seam facing away from
the
 motor, problem solved.
