I would be interested too - depends on price like most things :>) -----Original Message----- From: Greg Field <gre-@gregfield.com> Sent: Jul 13, 2004 12:20 PM To: Loopfram-@topica.com Subject: Loop Alternators Your free subscription is supported by today's sponsor: ------------------------------------------------------------------- Apply now for a No-Annual-Fee Discover®Platinum Card 0% Intro APR*, No Annual Fee, Up to 2% Cashback Bonus® award* Start Saving Today - APPLY NOW! It's fast, easy and secure. http://click.topica.com/caacpgwb1dfltb7nJ4Ta/DiscoverCard ------------------------------------------------------------------- My alternator conversion has worked so well, I'm thinking of making up a couple more for another bike of mine and a friend's. I can run a 55w headlight, two 55w spots, two 13w front running lights, four 13w rear running lights, a taillight, grip heaters on high, an electric vest on high, and the voltmeter still registers the 14.5 v that the regulator is set to. This got me thinking that I might as well make 10 or as many as I can sell. I could just make brackets or sell complete bolt-on brackets with alternator. Haven't looked into pricing, but is anyone out there potentially interested in a system that bolts on without any permanent modification to the bike (the only extra wiring is a wire to the battery; the stock regulator wiring just gets disconnected and can stay in place), looks like it belongs, and puts out 40-45 amps? On-list or off-list is fine.
