Charlie,
I've found some lugs at a local electrical supply house. I don't recall
seeing the 90 degree type though. I was able to crimp/solder the ones I
found using a homemade crimp die and a bench vise. I soldered using
water pipe soldering equipment. The downside is that the amount of heat
I needed chased the insulation away from the lug. A little heat shrink
cured that.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised to find there is a better way.

On a related note, I'm not entirely satisfied with the cables I bought.
I had hoped to find cables with a 90* elbow battery terminals (SAE
automotive posts), two auxilliary power wires from the terminal and the
lug on the starter end with a 5/16" hole instead of 3/8". I know, picky
picky picky. I've found the pieces to make my own (but only in large
quantities) and a few places that will make cables custom for you (at a
whopping big price). Was hoping to find an off-the-shelf item somewhere
- NAPA didn't have anything. Any ideas of where to look? Cheers,

Hi Dennis,
The new battery cables I just bought are 6 guage wire and are the same
size as the well worn original I took off. Cheers,

I'm joining in the great battery change-out that's infected the list,
and I
need to replace the battery lug on one of my battery wires/cables with
an
eyelet type to suit the terminals on the new battery. Does anyone know
the
wire size of those larger, black stranded cables?
Thanks,
D.J.
