Police 2: Ignition switch (includes wires to rear turn signals)

Applicable to these part numbers:

  1. Start by routing the sub-harness along the left side of the frame between the headlight bucket and the ignition switch, following the main harness. At the headlight bucket, I route the sheath through the larger, right hole. The wires to the rear turn signals continue under the rear fender to the tail light. The 3 connection female spade connectors should be located under the fuel tank in the space provided by the frame.
  2. Make the connections at the headlight bucket
    1. The brown wire with the 4 mm male bullet terminal is plugged into the top of the fuse block: into receptacle eight (count from the left, as when facing the headlight bucket).
    2. The red wire with the 4 mm male bullet terminal is plugged into the top of the fuse block: into receptacle three (count from the left, as when facing the headlight bucket).
    3. The red wire (with green markers on each end) with the 4 mm male bullet terminal is plugged into the top of the fuse block: into receptacle one (count from the left, as when facing the headlight bucket).
  3. Make the connections at the ignition switch
    1. The brown wire with the 4 mm male bullet terminal is plugged into terminal INT on the ignition switch.
    2. The red wire with the 4 mm male bullet terminal is plugged into terminal 15/54 on the ignition switch.
    3. The red wire (with green markers on each end) with the 4 mm male bullet terminal is plugged into terminal 30/30 on the ignition switch.
  4. Make the connections under the fuel tank
    1. The white/black wire with the 6.3 mm female spade terminal is connected to the 3 connection female spade connector distributing current to the right turn signal circuit.
    2. The yellow/black wire with the 6.3 mm female spade terminal is connected to the 3 connection female spade connector distributing current to the left turn signal circuit.
  5. Make the connections at the tail light
    1. The white/black wire with the 4 mm male bullet terminal is connected to the right rear turn signal.
    2. The yellow/black wire with the 4 mm male bullet terminal is connected to the left rear turn signal.
