V1000 I-Convert neutral switch electrical connections

The automatic transmission used on the V1000 I-Convert does not have a neutral position. Hence, there is no neutral switch. However, this did not stop Moto Guzzi from including the neutral indicator light on the dash.

The violet wire from the main harness is connected to another violet wire on terminal 86 of the starter relay (note the piggyback terminal on the violet wire). The other violet wire receives power whenever the clutch cable switch is actuated. Therefore, the neutral indicator light on the dash is illuminated whenever the clutch is disengaged.

At the dash, the bulb holder for the neutral indicator light is grounded to the post that secures the speedometer to the dash using MG# 18759950.

If you no longer have a switch in your clutch cable (and many people do not), then there is no reason to hook the violet wire to anything.
