their is a connection, the linkage is entirely different, if your talking
about stock guzzi Floorboards, the linkage has to be completely changed
out, the brake and shift pedals mount directly to the floorboard rail, the
linkage from the shifter pedal connects to a shaft on the floorboard rail
and then to the transmission, that is where the change in direction comes
in the shifting pattern, I will post some close up details on my website if
there is interest.

 Yes they are a bolt up replacement, the only thing one must be aware of,
it the shift pattern with the floorboards will be the standard 1 down the
rest up, the shift pattern with the pegs will be 1 up the rest down.

Since there is no connection between the foot pegs and shifter shaft
how is that possible?
