Hi David and All,

I have to agree that the bikes will go up in value....and I have certainly
seen that over the last five years that I have been involved with this
brand.

When I first joined the MGNOC I was seeing lots of 700's, Ambos and Eldos in
the letter for fairly good prices. I picked up my Ambassador 2 (a basket
case but complete) for $450. A steal today. My biggest mistake was to pass
up on a running Eldo (complete) for $1200 a couple of years ago. DAM!

Today...as I look through the newsletter want ads I do not see many
Loopframes advertised and the ones that are are getting fairly pricey. There
are likely some good deals out there but you need to scour the back fields
for them. Anyone that knows the brand are starting to ask some serious coin
for them.

Case in point. I looked at a V700 the other day. The bike was a total wreck
( I mean REALLY BAD) and he wanted $1500 canadian for it....that's like
$1000 USD. Too much for me but I bet someone will pay that to have a
Loopframe to restore. Boy am I glad I have my 2 bikes :-)

One final point. I see more postings to the list of people that are "new" to
Guzzi's wanting a Loopframe. That along with a the few that regret selling
theirs and want one again will certainly drive up the demand. And.....as
demand increases so will price.

By the way....I will be selling my Ambo2 once it is completed. Any takers?
:-)

Ian

I have watched a lot of cars/motorcycles become collectable and start to be
worth more money, I personnally think the the loopframe's are going to
start
coming into their own soon, I predict they will start increasing in value
in
the next two years, starting with the V700's and then Ambo's and Eldo's.
What
 do you think?

One of the reasons I think this is, history has shown value increases in
certain vehicles when they reach the 35 tear old mark, some of this has to
do
with the ability to show the vehicle in AACA, it opens a whole new field of
purchasers.
