 Great idea these introductions....
My name is Chris Berry and I live in Lenoir, NC (gateway to the blue ridge).
I rode dirt bikes as a kid, but never owned a street bike. In 1998, an
old friend I hadn't seen in a while commented that he really liked the '84
VW Rabit convertible I had...in fact he'd trade one of his bikes for
it...maybe even his Guzzi. Needless to say, Iwent and took a ride on his
'74 civ. Eldo....I was hooked from the start. He drove away in the rabbit,
I got the bike...even trade!!! ($I had 2k in the rabbit) Awesome bike.
Mostly original, but has floorboards, 949cc kit,BUB'S, and Dellorto VHB
30's. The only problem is the jap wiring spliced in from a fairing it once
had. Did I say that it is an awesome bike? I'v enjoyed the hell out of it
learning the mechanics of Guzzi's and learning to ride again. Doubt I'll
ever make it to nationals, but I might pop up at a rally around the Blue
Ridge. Did I mention how killer this bike is?
Y'all have a good 'un

Chris, nice to hear from you. I have a question about your part of
the country. I'm from Raleigh, and took Highway 80 from the
parkway down to Pleasant Gardens, where it intersects with 70.
On the way (nice road!), we passed a really pretty lake on the left,
with some nice houses built on it. What is it's name? My wife and
I are thinking of getting some land in the mountains, and this area
really caught my eye. Look forward to meeting you, maybe at the
National? Later,
