Mike-
I bought the Eastwood kit...it sez use Muriatic acid full strength(it's 20%
hydrochloric acid/80%water so no further dillution is needed) run a couple
of gallons through (use rubber stoppers to plug the petcock holes and let
each gallon sit for a few minutes on each side of the tank)...then rinse
WELL with water....then use about a gallon of acetone to clean out the tank
of water and acid residue.
I would highly recommend using Eastwod's tank sealer or Kreem after all
this, coz the rust just comes back. BTW, if it has been sealed already, the
acetone dissolves the sealer. Use 2-3 gallons to do this. Handy to know if
someone else sealed it wrong and you need to get it out.
