This morning since there was no Cardinals practice, another camper who
has a kz1000 and I rode out to Meteor Crator. This is a huge hole where
a semi large meteor decided to end it all! Fasinatin. And only 40 miles
outside of town.
On the way back in, we stopped at Walnut Canyon Indian Ruins. These are
cliff dwellings. There are over 300 seperate rooms, all of stone and
mud, built under huge washed out parts of a cliff. It only cost $3.00 to
get in too, as opposed to the 10 they want at the crator.
The Eldo is running pretty good up here despite the high altitude. There
is a forest fire happening just a scant 20 miles away, so its kinda
smokey here in town now.
