Well, after thinking long and hard and mulling over the various opinions
expressed by all the helpful list members, I decided I'd buy the
not-running police ambo for $3000. Well, I called the guy and he told
me I had my chance and now it's up to $3800 - what he paid for it when
it was running and hadn't sat - stored wet, no less - in a shed for two
years! I politely told him I couldn't do that and he told me I wasted
his time making him show the bike last sunday and he hung up on me! So,
I guess it wasn't the bike for me. Thanks for all the advice gang!
Going to look at an ambo this weekend. Wish me luck!
