Mike,

I go for a short ride, to warm the bike up well. Then when you get back,
adjust your air mixture screws for the highest rpm's at idle. You might have
to adjust your idle adjust down if it gets too high. Most people say about 2
turns out on the air mixture screws, and most of the time thats right, but
mine dont always work out that way. If its screwed way in or 4 or 5 turns
out, then youve either got a clogged idle port or a damaged air mixture screw
(from screwing them in too tight). If thats the case, you may have to clean
the carbs real well or replace them. Since I cant afford to replace them, I
just set them where they run the best and put up with it. What the hell, its
an old bike.....they have character.
