My '72 Eldo has a pair of clamp-on mirrors. The mirrors are attached
to a long rod, and the rod is attached to the clamp on the handlebars.
This allows you to lengthen-shorten the height of the mirror as well as
the angle of the mirror in relation to the handlebars. My problem is
that the chrome is flaking off and the mirror's backing is coming off so
it is hard to identify what is behind me...is that a Mac truck (lorry)
or just a SUV???

I'd like to replace them with a set of mirrors that have a larger
diameter (more to see) and convex (to see even more). Most of the
replacement clamp-on mirrors have flat glass and about the same
diameter. I just looked at some Hindsight mirrors (
http://www.constructorsrg.com/) but they are too short. Any other suggestions?
