When I bought my new Eldo in 1972, it would routinely get 50 mpg. Putting on
the individual K&N filters bumped it up to 58, even after moving the slide
needle up a notch to make it richer.
My Ambo now gets in the mid thirties, mostly because gas is not what it used
to be. It will barely run on the crap they sell in Las Vegas, but does
better when I get to Arizona, and put in better gas.

My 74 Cali got 54 mpg last time I looked. Imperial gallons though!

Just curious as to what type of gas mileage y'all are getting with your
Ambassadors/Eldorados. I figured in the 30's, my mechanic said when
they are set up correctly, they can reach 50mpg. Still waiting on my 71
to get finished up with it's mechanical work, so not sure what mpg I
get.
