Subject: Fin Repair

I have just acquired a round head motor that has the top fin of the left
jug bent in onr location, and the metal has cracked. The fin is still
attached, but it is clearly cracked about 1" long. Does anyone have any
experience with fixing these in a non-wingnut fashion? I intend to do a
first-rate restoration of this bike and want a repair that will be
permanent and not visible. Either that or buy a new head. Any
recommendations of this type of repair would be appreciated.
