I have mastered the rear wheel removal on my Ambo and in doing so
greased the spines, de-glazed the shoes, greased the wheel bearings and
polished the backing plate. The sidestand/centerstand trick works great (I
wonder if that was engineered or accidental?). Now I want to pull the front
wheel off and do the same. On my Alazzurra, which is at least 100 lbs
lighter, I can just throw a couple of tie-downs over a ceiling joist in the
garage and hoist it up by the handlebars high enough to get the wheel out
from under the fender. I can see where one of those $125- lifts on E-bay
would come in real handy now. Does anyone have any easy tricks for front
wheel removal outside of pulling the fender (pita)? Or getting my wife (no
please) to help remove/replace the wheel as I have the bike on its side?
Also was it Ian who was collecting and putting together a
bike/serial number/location spreadsheet? Is it posted or available anywhere?
I would be interested in having a look.
Thanks,
Rich
PS Mike, got the choke lever, thanks.
