Greetings All,

My neighbor is having a problem with his 74 Eldo that I will also
experience soon. He bought a new chrome headlight ring, new gasket, and
a chrome "eyelid". The problem he is having is that without the eyelid,
all fits perfect, with the eyelid, there is too much pressure which will
not allow the chrome headlight ring to seat flush against the headlight
shell. He actually busted the tab off of his 1st headlight ring due to
the excessive pressure and had to get a new one. I was checking it out
with him this eve, and we wound up using the old gasket which gave a
little more than the new, but it still does not fit snug up against the
shell. The top is tight and the bottom is tight, but the sides are a
little bit away from being flush against the headlight shell. Has
anyone else experienced this problem and is there a fix? I also have a
headlight eyelid and also the spotlight eyelids, haven't installed them
yet, but I'm sure I'll run into the same problem.

Thanx for any advice!
