The larger-diameter tube is the breather. If you can find a PCV valve
which is a perfect fit into the tube, great. I could not find a perfect
fit, so again, I cut a short length of hose to mate the tube to the PCV
valve.
The "perfect fit" valve, is the one used in the T-3 and later bikes.
Works great. Some folks use the T3 piece, and still use the box.
