I'm nearing the mid point of my Ambo rebuild. And figgured I'd be buggin
the crap out of someone, so I subbed.

The short story is that I bought a pair of trashed Ambos for a grand. I
am now putting together one from the pile of Ambo and one Eldo that I
dragged home after it had been arsoned and left to rot in the Seattle
rain for a year or more.

I'm doing this on the strict no dollar budget. So far so good. The frame
has been rattle canned a nice black, the forks are reassembled. The
motor is re-ringed and assembled, motor and tranny are in the frame. The
wheels are on the bike.

Slow going with the holidays loading crap on to my "honey - do" list.

A "YO!" to Greg Feild and anyone from Moto Int'l who might peruse the
list.

BTW: I saw the thread on the breather stuff. Don't bother with the PCV
valve. Just get a ball check valve (moto intl has one, saves the search
time at about 15 bux, that's more time on the bike) that fits inside the
rubber connecting hose (the big one) and then put the old Guzzi mouse
trap back on top. Looks original and functions just the same. Better
than spending nearly a c-note on a new mousetrap.

Do you suppose the rear gas tank mount on the frame would be strong
enough to take a solo seat front mount? I'm a big bastard and I wonder.
No it ain't the stock solo neither.
