Hey,

I was lucky. On my 69 Ambo the dash was already cut. On my 70 Ambo I am in
the same dilemma as you. Do I cut an uncut dash? I too have Scots/German
(father background Scottish and mom a kraut) so tough for me too.

I have decided to keep my 70 stock so it will be without a fairing and uncut
dash. I'll just have to remember to wear a full face when I ride it. Last
time I was wearing my half helmet and I got stung in the ear by a wasp. Not
fun especially when you're mildly allergic.

I'd still be interested in the brackets if you didn't need them.

Regards...Ian

Thanks for the info Ian. The frugal Scots/German in me won't destroy a
perfectly good part. You did confirm my suspicions and I am loathe to cut
up
that dash or the bracketry. I'll see what I can cobble up out of 3/4" flat
stock.

 Hi,

You need to cut the dash so the bracket can fit. Doesn't look bad if you
do

it neat. I have that bracket set up with a National police fairing. Looks
really good.
