Peter,

There should be a drain plug at the bottom of the fork on your Ambo.
Sometimes they get covered over with oil or paint. Should be there though.

I used 20W 50 in my fork legs. Seems to work ok on my restored Ambo with no
leaking or problems after 400 miles.

Regards....Ian

dropped the fork and cleaned and greased head bearings last week. They
were
 bone dry.
Luckily all looked OK, no race or roller damage.
I looked for oil drain plug to get old fork oil out. I couldn't see one.
I just turned forks upside down and poured out the oil.

Is this the normal procedure? It was no problem now that fork was out
but, as a standard maintenance item, it seems there should be a plug.
Am I missing something?
Also, I got the word about using straight 50W oil to refill. Cant find it
so far. Will 20-50 work?
Thanks
