Wll we may not be finished yet,
I replaced the plug wire and got the left side running much better,
however it is still poping when you rev it up. I am going to swap the jets
from right to left and see if the poping follows. Looks like the carb guys
are back in, all the electrical seems ok, and I rechecked the compression, I
get a solid 150psi on the left and 148 and the right, still haven't pen
pointed the source of the extra oil coming out. If the poping doesn't
follow the jets I am swapping the carbs around, maybe I can at least narrow
it to a carb problem.

See ya,
Rick

Dang ol' plug-wires. It was rigged, I tell ya! Rigged!

Elctrical??? I wasn't paying attention. did I win a beer or somthing???

Eric, or anyone else, where did you get the amal's resleeved? I'm
actually

pretty happy with the way mine runs and would like to keep them.

If it runs well, don't bother. If you have weird inconsistant idle ( and
your plug wires are ok ;)) send 'em to Walt Lund 34130 Parkwoods Dr Albany
OR 97321 or PO box 614 Jefferson OR 97352. Walt Lund Machine
Works. Sorry I don't have a phone number, although you can probably look
it up...

For those of us with Amals--there is a fix for the slide problem. Send
'em off and have 'em sleeved.
