Well, whatever it turns out to be, persevere and use good scientific method
(changing only one parameter at a time) and you'll eventually find out the
cause of the popping on the one cylinder.
I doubt the carbs were made to be swapped over- I would think that would
make them hard to adjust. Good call about swapping the jets, tho'.

Thanks to all on the advice about amal carbs. I think its still cheaper
for a resleeve than buy a new carb; I've seen resleeving advertised for
$60/side, but don't know anything about the company. Guess I'll quit
cryin' and just start ridin'.

A fellow listee is sending me a set of tonti frame lower rails with
hardware and floorboards. I'm gonna try and cobble them up to the
loopframe. Ian and I had briefly talked about this. I'll let ya'll know
how it turns out. Yes, lots of pictures. I know. Feel free to send
advice. Its always appreciated.
