Howdy Hunter

The melted terminals are on the left as you look into the bucket. One
thought I had was that someone tried to start the engine w/ a stuck
piston and just heated up those fuses...not a dam thing was gonna turn
that piston over...she was stuck.

Yeah i'd like to run a relay for the headlights. Anything to make her a
more reliable runner...and NOT get hit.
Thanks
miguel

It sounds like there was a special on 25 amp fuses one day.....
I would not use higher than 16 amp. The Premier service handbook does call
for 25 amp fuses on page 123 under the heading LIGHTING.
Are your melted terminals on the right as you look into the bucket? These
are for the headlight and running lamps. That is why so many people run the
headlight through a relay. The use of a relay will also save both the
headlight and ignition switches from carrying that load. If you wanna do
that drop a line. I am sure many of us on the list have done that mod! I
put relays on mine so as to run a 100 watt halogen daylight simulation
device (aka headlight). It does a good job of getting slack drivers to take
notice of me as well.

Wishing it would NOT rain on the weekend!
