Hi All,
Well...I must say...I am about sick and tired of always dealing with leaky
petcocks.
The originals on my 70 Ambo are seeping a bit and I was wondering what
others have done to combat this cantankerous issue. By the way....does
standard plumbing thread tape hold up against gasoline?
On my 69 Ambo I have installed the newer type (from Convert etc...)
petcocks with an adapter available from Moto International. Works perfectly
except the petcock comes down too far on the left side and gets in the way
of the throttle cable coming out from the top of the carb. Right side is ok
though.
I was thinking of running an adapter 90degrees and bringing the petcock
further back. The pitch on these threads are 12x 1.0 right?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
