First I have had plumbing Teflon tape on my threads for about 6
months now without any visible problems.
Second, I have a set of replacement internal gaskets that Bruce
Giller (no Bruce I still have not installed them yet) made and offered up to
the list a while back (at the ridiculously low price of $1 was worth the try
I thought).
And lastly how do you line them up properly if you don't use the
thin adjustment washers? I never have seen them cause a leaking problem,
unless you use too many of them.

Ah! the last question in yesterday's post!!

I have used teflon tape and the spacer washers and have had no problem
with leaks. The memnonic for the spacers, as entrusted to me by an old
Guzzi mechanic is "less is more", whatever THAT means! Seems to work.

Mine leak from the valves--on the regualar side in one of the off
positions, and on the reserve side then it in the on position. I would be
very greatful for a lead on something to rebuild them and stop the leak.
If Bruce is still on the list, I'd sure be interested.

Thanks
