Yes they do, or should. This chamfering would be on the bottom side of the
cylinder, not in the head. All six studs must get 'sealed' or oil will blow
through. The outer, four studs are sealed at the rocker arm carriers. Those
o-rings go between the cylinder head and the rocker carriers. However the
top center and bottom centert cylinder studs are sealed way down at the
bottom between the cylinder and the engine casing. First, install the base
gasket onto the studs and the engine casing. Next, install an o-ring on the
upper and lower center studs so this o-ring gets pinched between the base
gasket and the base of the cylinder. Turn your cylinders upside down and you
will see the chamfering.
