taking things to their logical end does not always have much to do with

It is, actually, easier to have a piston made or a cylinder sleeved to fit
than it is to find a cable with an inline switch.

Actually, it's pretty easy to find one. Two people have told you where to
find them.

I'n not enthused about having a 30 year old cable on the front brake anyhow.

SO I will try to find a method where I can use a brake lever based switch if
at all possible.

Why do people insist on "Well MY so and so works JUST FINE...la la la"?

Maybe because it's true??

well MY dealer was reluctant to sell me one because THEY don't like the idea
of putting the old POS on my bike. and that is good enough for me..la la la.

NOS sometimes = POS 'kay?

A steel cable and steel housing do not deteriorate even over 30 years. As
a matter of fact, the rubber housing looks just fine, maybe NNS?

I'm perfectly capable of making my own cables, and have done so when I
have to. Maybe YOUR cable is a POS, la, la, la, but MINE's not.

YOU were the one that asked where to find a cable--I told you where to
find one. I'm underwealmed by your gratitude

So cut the supercillious crap.
