Richard,
One more thing on your windscreen. I'm not sure what you can do about =
discolored plastic. I have cleared up scratchy plastic with fine grit =
compound and a high speed buffer. You can use almost any compond to =
begin buffing plastic and then switch to a plastic polish toward the =
end. Remember that polishing, anything, is simply the lining up of =
scratches and making finer and finer scratches.
Also, if you do go the home made route use a heat gun with a diffuser on =
it. Put the plexi in a tub of very hot water so the whole thing is hot, =
wipe it down and then begin using the gun on it. Sit in a chair, pull =
your legs up against your chest, put the old windshield on your shins as =
a template and pull the new, hot plexi toward you against the old =
windshield. Maybe have some friends help you as this may be a 4 or 6 =
hand job!

Thanks for the idea, I hadn't really thought of doing that. I have =
the original glass it is just so scratched and discolored I can't use =
it.
Really I don't want to put the fairing back on but want to ride it at =
highway speeds and think I have to have it to be comfortable. Thanks =
for the offer again, but I have the original so I can trace it out =
myself if I don't get a part number I will try this.

If you don't get part numbers from anyone on the list I would be =
willing to make a tracing of my sheild on my Wixom and send it to you. =
You could then buy plexi and use a heat gun to bend it into shape, drill =

I remember seeing a post about a part number or company that =
makes a replacement windsheild for the Wixom fairing.
Does anybody have the part number, or any info on replacing the =
plexiglass on this style wind jammer?
