Howdy Brian,

You can use the manifold stubs from the 850 Lemans or any other engine that
uses the rubber connector to mount the carb. The really BIG deal is that
the Eldo ports are small. If you put the Lemans manifold up to the head you
will see what I mean. Bigger carbs will help no doubt but to truly take
advantage of the bigger carbs and cylinder size the heads need to be hogged
out. If the ports and manifolds don't match up well the flow of air and
fuel gets whacky and power is lost. If you need help finding someone to do
it let me know. It has been a while since I needed any cyl head work but
there are people around who can do a good job for a reasonable amount of
money.
It may seem like a minor thing but it makes a big difference in
performance. I've seen power on Guzzis and Ducs go up by better than 15%
just on head work with no other changes. That's money well spent!

 Hello all,
My Eldo motor is being rebuilt with a 1000 cc kit and B-10 cam, and I
was planning on trying to get some 36 mm Dell'Ortos to add a little more
excitement, but am unsure about what to do about the intake manifolds.
Presently I know of someone who will sell me their 38 mm PHM's which
were used on an R90S. My question is this: can I get intake manifolds to
work with my Eldo, and if not, can an existing manifold be modified to
work?
I hope to get some helpful response soon, as I need to respond to
this guy with the 38 mm PHM's.
Thanks,
Brian
