Just give it a couple of twists of the grip and it should start without the
chokes. I never need them. (of course I'm not in the cold country)
My Eldo came with Amal carbs with the choke removed, and I starts and runs
fine even in cold weather. Just flood the carbs and it fires, but in cold
weather it takes a while to warm up enough to idle.
