Subject: blue pipe

Would greatly appreciate anyones diagnosis of my bikes problem.My
problem is my right cylinder head pipe is getting blue yet my left is
not.Plugs both are a nice tan color,both carbs are synched reasonably
well,no intake leaks,motor just completely rebuilt-heads,carbs,big
bore,balanced crank etc.Timing is correct.I am concerned i might hole
the piston on the right side due to overly lean condition.Lowered the
needle jet clip to the bottom groove,ran it up to speed,cut motor and
pulled the plugs.Rt. side was black.Think i will put it back to correct
groove.What do you think?What would you do?Ive spent alot on this
motor,would like it to last.Thanks Scott K
