<P>I replaced my old leaky petcocks with the newer ones from Moto International in 99 and I did not need any gaskets but the only thing I had to sacrifice was the screens that the origionals had. They do not leak anymore with the new petcocks and I have not noticed any sediment passing through the petcocks without the screens. I called M.I. to see if any screens were avaliable for these and they said no, but things may have changed since then.</P>

<DIV></DIV>>Questions:
<DIV></DIV>>I fought with 2 gas caps before I figured out that I indeed have the
<DIV></DIV>>flip up
<DIV></DIV>>with lever cap type tank. Fortunately I had a sevicable one on a
<DIV></DIV>>battered
<DIV></DIV>>old tank I had. Popped that sucker in place after a quick run on the
<DIV></DIV>>buffer....yowsa! One problem. There seems to be an 1/8" gap in the
<DIV></DIV>>rubber
<DIV></DIV>>gasket under the cap. It's on the left (downhill) side and if I put
<DIV></DIV>>the bike
<DIV></DIV>>on its side stand it will leak. It appears the the bolt under the
<DIV></DIV>>cap is
<DIV></DIV>>peened so you cant take the nut off. true? shoud that gasket have
<DIV></DIV>>that gap?
<DIV></DIV>>Are these caps rebuildable?

<DIV></DIV>>I got the newer petcocks and adaptors from Moto International. You
<DIV></DIV>>guys
<DIV></DIV>>running these, do you need gaskets in the adaptors?
