Rick... sorry I didn't get back to you sooner... was out of town..
I'm not
exactly sure which battery I'm using (I'll get a number off of it
next time
I take a cover off) It was in there when I bought it... it does fit
properly
on the battery base. On my Eldo, I've got the old square side covers
which
may make things easier for me, but I've got quite a bit of room
between the
filters and battery. Also, I know it's been suggested many times
that the
K&N's be mounted turned inward so that the flat part of the filters
touch
each other, but I found that this interfered with my fuel line
arrangements
(I'm running inline filters.. so my fuel line bundle is a little
bulkier
that normal)... I've got mine pointed outward... the edge of one
filter
slightly overlaps the other... but it's not at all objectionable...
So, to
make a long story short... plenty of room between battery and
filters... not
quite as sure about clearance related to the longer side covers... I
can
take a picture if you like...Bill

Bill, what battery do you use? My Ambo came with the K&N's, they
look
like they protrude into the battery area. My battery is in my
sidecar. I
am consiedering going solo and was concerned about battery
interference,
 Thanks Rick Woods

David... didn't have any trouble with mine.... the filters do

other... but of course are flexible enough not to cause a

 in my
