Howdy All,
Here in Raleigh I have had the same policies on my bikes for ten plus years
through an Independent Agent. The one I was dealing with was bought by
Centura Bank but this has made no difference in the rates or service. The
actual policies are written through US Insurance Services in Florida by
Universal Underwriters Insurance Co. I am paying about 150.00 a year for
liability per bike. That is for 30K bodily injury per person, 60K BI per
accident and 25K property damage plus those same limits on uninsured idiot,
pardon me, I mean motorist.
Be sure to compare apples to apples when checking prices as differences in
coverage make big differences in price. Progressive must be paying to much
for all those shiny Ford Explorers as they were almost $100.00 higher for
the same coverage.
Study up on insurance a little and compare. It won't take long to find the
best deal.
