Hello all,
I have been a member for a couple of weeks. I have a really beautiful
73' eldo police GT. I was out riding on Friday when a guy a the stop
light started asking about my bike. I didn't think much about it because
it happens all the time. He said he had a moto guzzi. I ask
if it was running, he said no, blah, blah, blah..... . I can tell you
that I now also own a 70' Ambo 750. Paid a whopping $200.00.
The bike is all original with the acception of the charging system.
The guy had installed an automobile type altenator. The engine is
also hurt.I worked on the bike over the weekend and have the frame
ready for paint. I need help trying to freshen up the engine without
spending $ 1,000,000.01 on it. Here's what I need so far:

1) Two cylinder kits, cylinders, pistons, pins, etc.
2) original style altenator, regulator and tensioning backets.
3) altenator cover.
4) chrome front fender bracket (front).

I would prefer to do a complete rebuild on the engine however,
paying the electric bill,(to keep the air conditioner running
here in Phoenix) has priority. The bike is second, and food is third.
The bike has not ran since 84'. It looked like the thing hadn't been
cleaned since 70'. I'll carbon date the finger prints found on the frame
after removing the pounds of crud. I'll bet money they're
Italian.
