HI Kevin, Welcome and good analysis of the 'addiction'.
Somebody at a stop sign the other day asked me what year my Harley was. My

When people ask me about Moto Guzzi and about owning
one, I tell them that the bikes are slow, clumsey (or maybe that's
just
me), and that they can get very expensive to fix. They then ask "why
then?" To that I say " It maybe slow, but I'm not in a hurry, It
maybe
clumsey but that's why you got to know how to ride,
and they maybe expensive sometimes, but other times you can fix the
problem with something out of the junk drawer. I know we are a rare
breed and somewhat "off" but I've never been one of the crowd
anyways.
