I personnally prefere the 4-speeds, I love the whine of an Ambo at highway
speed, I also prefere gear cam drive versus chain, those sounds combine to
be music to my ears. Clunky? My EV is clunky, I'm just a cruiser, they work
fine for me, and the clunk is over as soon as your in the next gear.

All 4 speeds will be clunky but I hear that they are tough reliable units.
With a little practice you can get them to shift quietly but you won't win
any races by doing it. They tend to whine in top gear but you get use to
that.

Of course many desire the 5 speed but I personally don't mind my 4 speed.

If you fall off the fence on the wrong side (meaning you don't get it)
please let me know off list. I might be interested in the machine.

Regards.....Ian
