Greetings All,

Spoke with my Guzzi mechanic last eve to tell him the spring busted
again. He wasn't surprised as this is a common occurrence with
Loppframes, attributes this busted spring to probably an old 20 year
shelf life replacement spring. He mentioned that he thought there was
some sort of external spring kit that was devised which allows you to
leave the busted spring in place and just add an external spring/kit to
fix the problem. Anybody know about this kit or where I can get one?
Else, we'll need the instructions on how to get the spring out and
replace it on a 4 speed Ambo transmission.

As for the other problems I have noted previously, the gen warning light
is on because the gen is indeed bad. My auto mechanic is now doing all
of the work for me as I have lost trust in the Guzzi shop. Tom, my
mechanic, is awesome with cars and m/c's, and is more of a friend than
just my mechanic. He enjoys working on m/c's as a change of pace too.
He wants to rebuild my generator in his shop and was wondering if there
is a rebuild kit available, any info on this? He is going to look
closer at this oil leak too, hope it is not leaking from a spot where
oil is not supposed to be. Looks to be just behind that oil vent hole
in the engine case, and just in front of the oil drain plug where it
appears the trans case and engine meet. BTW, the main seal has been
replaced. Hopefully all of this can be resolved without any major work
(again!) and I can finally start riding this Ambo instead of looking at
her sitting needing service. My mechanic calls her the Jaguar of m/c's,
looks great but always in the shop for something, especially electric
work.....

Thanx for any help/info.
