I grease my springs, just packed 'em up with the stuff. Does it work? Don't
really know. That's why they say to grease them, but never run mine without
it so can,t compare, but mine don't squeak.

Been riding the Ambo a lot since it has been so nice in the Bay Area. One
thing is starting to bug me though and that is a squeaking from the front
suspension. This isn't from the steering but sounds like the springs under
compression and rebound. My seals seem to be ok as they are only weeping the
smallest amount of oil that I sometimes wipe off the chrome covers. I
drained, flushed and replaced the fork oil about six months ago. Maybe I
used noisy fork oil ;-? Does anyone (Mark?) have any ideas about the cause
and cure for this squeak? I have learned to ignore and get used to a lot of
things but this is getting to be annoying.
All ideas and jokes will be listened to,
Rich
