Pete.....I use a copper washer. Available at any auto parts store. I'm nor
sure if I should be using a washer of like material but so far I haven't had
a problem.

| The red gasket on my oil fill plug is mostly wiped out, so I was getting some weepage if I didn't REALLY tighten down the bolt. I had a spare O ring laying around from my Gold Wing oil filter, seemed to slide right over the bolt. Nice clean fit and seal now I am tempted to try one on the oil drain plug but I dont think I will. |
