Nicest guy you could meet....but then again, that goes without saying since he's a Guzzi owner. And lastly, friend of mine who used to own a Ambo years ago and now has a Moto Guzzi 850...has gotten himself a 73 Eldo. Since I've been talking everyone's ears off for weeks about the Eldo, maybe he got the itch : - ) He saw the ad on Cycle Trader online (the ad had just been posted with the print version of the magazine due out this morning), called the guy and said, "Don't sell that bike...I'm on my way to pick it UP!" Luckily, it was only 45 minutes away...and the cost...a nice $2200 bucks in great unrestored condition. Looks like we're forming our own San Francisco Eldorado Club. Thanks again all! Mr.1st place Kev P. and I rode out to the bar his wife works at last
night. Stopped for petro and along comes a 68-69. Guys name was John.
Side covers said Ambo. but the frame/tank were from a v7. i also let him
onto the site. Nice guy, we rode together through Mt. Clemons with him.
So looks like we might have 2 new people.
The reason I new what the frame was(horizontal mounted coil) was from
this site.
