Well I got the frame without the front end so I assume it is a 73 then by
what it says on the frame.

From what I've seen, the front brakes are disc on '74 models only. If they
are drums (either twin or four shoe) they are 73.5 and earlier. I have seen
a lot of "1974" models that were just titled in '74, frame date is 1973 or
1972. I'm probably wrong, but I think whatever it says on the frame, that
is the year of the bike, regardless of what the title says...y'all remember
that 1975 Eldo on ebay some months back?
Hmmmm....wonder who got screwed, I mean got to take home that bike?

Ian,

Here is the number from my .5 Eldo. June 1973 # 060024. Would this then be
a
73 or a 74 model? I'm to going to build a custom job out of this one. Just
something different to show and play with.
