Yeh, the shift return spring AND starter were good. I know that gave me
that 30 hp right off the line.
I have a scanner here at work. I would be cool to acually scan and post.
anyway to do it?

I believe Greg Fields' book "Moto Guzzi Big Twins" calls out 55-60HP for
the 750, 65HP for the 850. Biggest difference between the 850 and 750
was the torque, same goes for when they changed the 700 to the 750.
Think the 700 was running 50HP. Don't remember the torque #'s. And Kev,
those HP #'s were with good shifter return springs! (LOL)

50 HP! my god, how do I hold on?
never got a chance to get my read out. tonight. will post tommarrow, I
think
it was around 30. That was with a blown clutch, bad cyl., heads hadn't
been
touched that I know of, Ex leak, Air leak, bad clutch hub, no tread on
tires, oil leak, leaky carbs, burnt turn sigal and the headlight
rattled. HA

Have to be doing at least 50 now.

Pete,
I put my Ambo on a Dyno a few years back, pretty low HP. Got the
readout

in

the garage. I'll get the specs and post them. Got to keep in mind that

this

was before any real work was done to the bike. A very short time
after,

 I
had to replace the clutch(which came out in pieces). I know a few
people with access to dyno's and have been wanting to put it on again.
I'm sure there will be a big differance.

Does anybody know where I can find the torque and HP curves for a
750??

curves for an 850 are OK too.

I'm just curious about that.

Thanks
