Sorry to hear about your starter. Where was the problem? Solenoid? Motor?
I call my 69 Aquila and my 70 original resto Dynamo-Hum.
Funny but for both these bikes being the same machine and having similar
tendencies they also have differences. Aquila is a real sweetheart. She is
smooth and quiet. Easy to ride and when I am on trips with her she flows
along with ease. On the other hand....Dynamo-Hum is a little louder and has
a little more pep. She is a little more cantancorous (sp?) in the clutch
dept and is a little more "out there" with her stripped to the bare
essentials look. When I ride her I feel like a bad... bad boy :-)
Keep us posted on the starter fix.

| Ian, I like the Zappa reference in your (which one?) bikes name. Frank was a genius both lyrically and instrumentally. May he rest in peace and I hope he is giving them fits up in heaven. Guzzi content. My starter started smoking ;-( yesterday (and I warned her that it was bad for her health). Time to check terminals, battery, contact cleaner, brushes, springs and the such Rich |
