OK, OK , I see how you guys are! answer Dave's little diagnostic ( that I
won! HA!) but not mine. It's all right, I'll be ok, just cause I don't have
freebe's.....
Let me tell you what happened anyway. As we were commin' close to the exit
ramp Kevin got on the throttle a bit. That's when he lost a cyl. If you
remember, we were looking all over hell's half acre for some float
valves(new, in the bag). Couldn't find them so I ordered new ones. Days
rolled by, both bikes up. I had about 500 miles on mine. Kevin had about
250. We did end up finding the float needles the night Kevin's bike dropped
a cyl. Where? in the throat of the carb! AH Jeeze Man!
Turns out the little baggie found it's why into one of his filters(Ithink
he put 'em there so he wouldn't "lose" em').
He rode 250 miles before those things got sucked up. The extra throttle
must of givin' 'em enough uummph.
Yeh well, there it is, what's to be learned by this? Well, not much
really, just a story to take up your time.
Funny though, eh?
