I went through my boxes of parts for my 73 Eldo today. I was frustrated
that I could not find my fender supports. I can picture the scrapes on em.
I can't figure what happened to them becuase I could swear I saw them
recently. I also have no seat. I faintly remember my wife throwing it away
a long time ago when cleaning the garage (grrrrr).

My gas cap is kinda bent up, and I doubt it will go back on right. It's the
hinged type with a lever to secure it. Anyone know if these are still
available? The bike sat outside for a year or two without body parts on it
before I got it in a garage. I'm wonderin if the generator is ok from the
weather. Need most electrical stuff outside the headlight. Looks like most
everything else is ok. Exhaust and crash bars have rust...so must ponder
replacement vs. rechrome. Koni shocks look pretty rusty...any chance they
are still good?

Even found some extra NOS stuff that I will probably sell after I get the
thing together. Some of it does not look like it goes with my model (brembo
caliper seals?) or is for mods I don't plan to make (floor boards and frame
sections from a later model police?).

I also put a wrench to crank on the motor to see if it turns ok. It does.
So, I don't plan to tear down the motor. I'm gonna go for the assembly and
see if she kicks....if not...I'll just have to take it back apart.

If it sounds like I'm makin any big mistakes, please give me some feedback.

By the way, the thing was running when I took it apart to paint 16 or so
years ago.
